This quote is one of my favorites because not only does it show us how our life experiences have the power to shape our emotions and thoughts, it also reminds us that we have the ability to take back control of our mindset and our reactions. Recognizing that you may be struggling and asking for help can be one of the hardest things to do, and it takes a great deal of strength to do so. As a therapist, I will strive to help you to continue to bring out your inner strengths as you navigate these struggles as well as teach you helpful coping skills for navigating the variety of challenges life can throw at us! I strive to make sessions feel as safe and as comfortable as possible, as well as build trust in the therapeutic relationship.

I use a mindfulness approach to help increase clients’ connection with themselves as well as utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy techniques. In my sessions with clients, I have helped them to navigate a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, school issues, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, & family conflict. I want to acknowledge your strength and courage in taking the steps toward finding a therapist and starting your healing journey. Being vulnerable and experiencing change can be scary, but it is not something you have to face alone!
