About
Success is internal, and at times, the journey can be more powerful than the outcome. When we focus on the internal, growth and self-determination unfold. I strongly believe in the power of the individual to chart their own destiny.
Due to my professional and personal background in the world of disability, I have come to believe that our differences can also be our greatest strength. This belief reflects my Solution Focused approach. There is always a seed of positivity within us; we may need help at times with transforming that seed into something larger. I am interested in working with a variety of individuals and ages. I have worked with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, anger management, anxiety disorders, individuals affected by domestic violence and trauma.
Qualifications and Approach:
I am currently working on obtaining the Adolescence and Child Mental Health certificate from Rutgers University. I am certified as a trauma informed social worker, and I am working towards my EMDR certification. I also utilize Narrative and Family Systems approaches that focus on the individual and their personal story. Everyone has the right to live life on their own terms with dignity and self determination.
