About
Things happen to us throughout our lifetime that make us feel stuck, worthless, guilty, shamed, and like we are never enough. These ideas about ourselves dictate the way we learn, how we do in school and work, and how we love and connect to others. When someone has experienced trauma, these thoughts and feelings can be even more extreme which can cause significant distress.
I have experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults and families that have experienced trauma. Trauma is different for every person from sexual abuse to losing a loved one to being misunderstood as a child. The approach I take is creating a warm, safe place for my clients to be heard and validated.
I also have experience and love working with the LGBTQ+ population with an expertise in trans and enby humans. My passion also resides in working with and understanding humans that are neurodivergent, especially those diagnosed later in life or are actively questioning if they have autism, ADHD or other developmental disorders that have made life complex.
